Literature and Reading

Literature and reading is such an important part to comprehension and language arts in a classroom. In the NES text it is seen that there is stuff like content clues, grammar, comprehension of books, is all really important. There is the general idea that understanding what you are reading is so crucial and understanding what you are reading and what is in front of you. As a future teacher, making sure your students are understanding what you are trying to say is the whole idea. Accommodating to them but at the same time making sure that the common core state standards are implemented in your lesson plans but still using techniques to help them would be not only the hardest part of being a teacher but being able to accommodate to your students and meet all the standards of reading and writing is the whole concept of teaching and making sure everything is comprehensible through you as the teacher which is in the NES text and how that refers to a classroom and teaching in general.

Learning Letter

Although I am nervous and talk fast when it comes to presentations, I have a lot to say but it seems to come out in jibberish which I hope to work on. I loved every single project we had in this class because it was aimed towards our future and what we want to do so it was worth coming and learning, doing the projects and listening to what other people had to say as well because learning all of what other future teachers think are good methods, is definitely worth a listen to. CCSS: Literature and Reading

The different ways that the common core state standards include literature and reading in the standards are incorporated the NES textbook through different ideas. Some of the ideas include applying and understanding various organizational structures used in critical or analytical writing and being able to understand what you are reading to know what you are putting down. The demonstration of knowledge written down in analysis show that students know what they are actually doing and putting on paper through their thoughts. It is also crucial to know how to include and interpret characters, themes, and points of views in various literacy works. One of the most important aspects of writing in high school is writing about books students read and what they learn from it. The common core interprets this in a good way to show that students need to know what they are reading before they put stuff down on paper.

Literacy Presentation

Literacy Presentation “Effective Literacy Coaching” Shari Frost, Roberta Buhle, Camille Blachowicz Why I chose this text? I chose this text because in every section there is a check mark next to whether or not the lesson plan is appropriate for elementary and or middle school/high school or appropriate for both. There is also ways that each one can be implemented in a classroom for each lesson, along with goals and reflections for you to look back on what to reflect on with the lesson and with the students, how things went overall, there are also worksheets which just gives a lot of help for the classroom as a whole.
